Cosmic Frontiers
The discovery of thousands of exoplanets has transformed the way science understands the universe and has opened new questions about the possibility of finding life beyond the solar system. Based on these advances, Maloka invites you to a talk that proposes reflecting on the nature of intelligence and the scientific, philosophical, and cultural challenges that an eventual encounter with other forms of life would imply.
The activity offers a space to approach some of the most fascinating debates in contemporary astronomy and explore how recent discoveries expand our understanding of the cosmos.
Science, Philosophy, and Space Exploration
The dialogue will address these questions from the approaches of epistemologist Jean Piaget on the development of intelligence, establishing a bridge between science, philosophy, and space exploration.
This interdisciplinary perspective will allow analyzing how knowledge is constructed, what we understand by intelligence, and how these concepts can contribute to the search for life on other worlds.
Aula Bajo las Estrellas: Science Outreach for All
The talk is part of Aula Bajo las Estrellas, a science outreach space by Maloka that promotes encounters between researchers, experts, and citizens around current topics in science, technology, and innovation.
Through this program, the interactive center seeks to bring scientific knowledge closer to the public through accessible conversations that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and interest in understanding the great challenges of the universe and our place in it.
